WHERE: Rattlesnake Mountain Recreation Preserve Trailhead – Hwy 225 – 7 miles from exit 96 off I-82 Rattlesnake Mountain Preserve Trailhead

REGISTRATION: Register above. Online Registration closes Feb 27th. There is day of registration.

PACKET PICKUP: Packet Pick Up & Day of Registration Friday March 4th from 3-5 PM at Frost Me Sweet or Race Day at 6:30 AM-7:45

GEAR: Weather can be unpredictable this time of year so come prepared and ready for rain/sun/wind/or snow. As of now this an minimally supported course so bring your own water/snacks if you need them.
​
REASON: This a fundraiser for the Runners of the Sage running organization www.runnersofthesage.com – with the mission to encourage more active, sustainable, and environmentally aware lifestyles.
​
COST/MERCHANDISE: $15 for 4k and $25 for 11k – Pre-registration Closes Sunday February 27th. T-Shirts are $20 with pre-registration. Day of race registration is $35 for 11k and $25 for 4k.
​
Very comfortable Tri-Blend Bella Canvas shirts are $25 with pre-registration. They come in unisex sizes. There will be some extra shirts in limited sizes and quantities available for purchase the day of the race. Plus there will be other Runners of the Sage apparel and Pint Glasses for sale.

AWARDS/PRIZES: Overall Top 3 Male and Female. Mountain Goat Challenge Award to Fastest Male and Female to ascend the 660 ft over 0.45 mi. A cash prize of $50 will be awarded to the overall 11K male and female. A cash prize of $20 will be awarded to the overall 4K male and female. A cash prize of $20 will also be given to any new course record, 11k, 4k, or Mtn Goat Challenge.

RACE DESCRIPTION: 11k/4k Trail Run
4k(2.4 miles) Is a single track ravine trail that is a gentle out and back uphill and downhill.
​
11k(6.7 miles – 1400 ft gain) is an uphill then downhill trail loop showcasing the beauty of the Sagebrush Steppe and Rattlesnake Mountain. Includes a very tough ascent and descent of Rattlesnake Arm from mile 3.75 – 4.65 which ascends 660 feet over 0.45 miles. This portion is called The Mountain Goat Challenge where we see who can ascend that 660 ft the quickest.
